MECACS hosting 2022 BRISMES Conference

MECACS are delighted to announce that we are the host committee for the 2022 annual British Society for Middle Eastern Studies conference to be held in St Andrews 4-6 June 2022. The conference theme is Exploring and Contesting the (re)production of coloniality in the Middle East: Borders, Transnationalism, and Resistance.

We are looking forward to welcoming the three keynote speakers of the conference: Professor Amira K Bennison, University of Cambridge, Professor Raymond Hinnebusch, University of St Andrews, and Dr Heba Raouf Ezzat, Ibn Haldun University, Turkey.
