This is a new series our interns are running where they’ll be talking to academics about their research on the region, sharing their perspectives on scholarly work as well as the latest current events. Dr Lai joined our interns to discuss his research on contemporary Gulf politics and his fascination with historical sociology in addition to his view of Arab nationalism today.
